Rob Monster
Chairman and CEO
Robert W. Monster co-founded and leads Identity.net. In addition, he leads Monster Venture Partners (MVP), an early-stage venture capital firm based in Seattle. Previously, Mr. Monster was the Founder of GMI (Global Market Insite, Inc.), a leading provider of technology-enabled services to the global market research industry. During his tenure as Chairman and CEO, GMI achieved annual revenue growth of 100+% per year and served customers in more than 60 countries.
Prior GMI, Mr. Monster was a global product development manager with Procter & Gamble, leading the development and commercialization of a series of successful new product initiatives throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America.
Fluent in English, Dutch, and German, Mr. Monster holds a BS and an MBA, both from Cornell University. A winner of the 2005 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in Technology and Software (Pacific Northwest), Rob also serves on the boards of GMI, Healthcare.com, Demoxi, Inc., Clickable.com, WiFi.com, Treedia Labs, and Alerts.com.
John Lawler
VP of Products
John Lawler leads the product development and product marketing teams at Identity.net. He has over 20 years experience managing the development, marketing, and launch of complex technologies, especially computer and network security products and services. John brings with him a strong technical and business background in security, identity management, multi-service wired and wireless data networks, and IT infrastructure.
Before joining Identity.net, John was at Microsoft, where he led market positioning and messaging for the Microsoft Forefront family of business security products, helping to build it into one of Microsoft's fastest growing businesses. Prior to that, John held senior positions in a number of security technology companies, including Preview Systems, Concentric Networks, and VPNet Technologies. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Nayana Hettiarachchi
Chief Architect
Prior to joining Identity.net, Nayana was Director of Technology at Global Market Insite (GMI). He was responsible for developing a custom ERP solution that manages the MR operations at GMI leading to increased revenue. Apart from managing the ERP development Nayana was responsible building an offshore development team in Sri Lanka with a set of globally integrated development tools and processes. Nayana started his coding career as a curious 10 year old boy on a BBC Micro computer platform. His curiosity and enthusiasm in the world of computers made him a self taught developer who has all around knowledge in many operating systems, programming languages and network engineering. His golden rule is to "understand the basics" and then try to understand how the basics fits into the problems to be solved.
Nayana is a Sri Lankan who also speaks English, Sinhala, Tamil and little bit of Thai. Nayana holds a Bachelor of Science in Business-Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University and a Computer Science Degree from Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand.

David Freedman
Director of Member Services
David Freedman has over 20 years of operational management experience in IT, financial, market research and customer relations. In his previous position as Director of Panel Operations at Global Market Insite (GMI), David honed his skills in developing a career focused on building and supporting online communities and enhanced the online community experience. During his four year tenure at GMI, he facilitated a twenty-fold increase in panel growth to over six million online survey takers, while managing a team of 65 support professionals. David received his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
